THANKSGIVING EDITORIAL
The purpose of this editorial was to provide sarcastic social commentary on the topic of Thanksgiving. Taylor was casted as the model who was supposed to be a gluttonous pilgrim with no respect for the food she was destroying and no awareness of where it came from.
50’s HORROR BEACH EDITORIAL
This editorial was shot at Edgewater Beach in Cleveland, Ohio. The meaning behind this concept was to express the feeling of inner turmoil in a unsettling way with a nostalgic feel. My styling was inspired by ‘Creature from the Black Lagoon’ (1954). The beach ended up being shut down the day of the shoot due to thousands of gallons of toxic waste being dumped into Lake Eerie. Life imitating art?
SUMMER PLAYBOY EDITORIAL
For this project I decided to style Amber in a red bodysuit from EXPRESS. The fabric is extremely stretchy and it offered a lot of versatility for these shots. We accessorized Amber with a lot of gold plated Playboy jewelry and added bright red lipstick and nail polish to compliment the body suit. Through the simple yet detailed styling, I think we achieved a timeless look.
VALENTINE’S DAY EDITORIAL
For this editorial I really wanted to focus on creating as many intricate details as possible. Not only did I focus heavily on Rachel’s wardrobe, but I also wanted to challenge myself and create a vividly detailed set as well. I love looking as these images because there’s always a new details to discover.
AUTUMN PLAYBOY EDITORIAL
For this set I styled Kali in a plaid skirt to give her a studious look for her birthday shoot. Kali’s in the medical field so I wanted to come up with a concept that was fun and trendy but I also wanted the styling to reflect her personality so we went for a scandalous teacher vibe.
HUGH HEFNER EDITORIAL
This editorial was extremely simple but yet it is one of the projects I am most proud of. I purposely did not want to show the models face in any of the images from this set because I think it creates a sense of mystery for the viewer. The model is wearing a black and red silk robe along with dirty white slouchy socks that are covered in beer. I thought it was important for the model in this role to look slightly disheveled and messy. One can assume that the character is intoxicated by the empty beer cans and the grungy aesthetic. It was my goal for the character in the images to juxtapose the clean-cut public image of the late Hugh Hefner.
